Shedding light on the big world that surrounds little people with curiosities of gargantuan proportions. |
Sometimes, I like to read stories in funny accents to keep kids engaged. Today a mom told me story that made my day!
MOM: “Does April speak any other languages at school?”
JACK: “She does, she speaks Sesame Street!”
MOM: “Sesame Street .. What do you mean?”
JACK: “You know, Cookie Monster & Elmo!”
Determined to put an end to the teasing, name-calling, and the “You’re not my friend anymore” / “You can’t play with us”. Quite a daunting task, especially for my extremely emotional, high-energy bunch. Nonetheless I must succeed before they venture off to the real world AKA: kindergarten!
Starting small — LOVE WINS.
“My dad works at his work.”
Hmm. Not quite the answer I was looking for but the kid makes sense!
CRAYON ART FTW!
I’ve figured out how to cure every boo boo imaginable. Pull out my “invisible” wand and cast a spell. In a failed attempt, I tell the kids that I’ve made a mistake — of course it doesn’t work because it’s NOT MY WAND! Then pull out another wand from my pocket, polish it off a bit, inform them it’s new and I just got it from a man named Olivander, then cast the spell again. Works like a Confundus Charm.
